New Year, New Possibilities

Happy New Year everyone! I didn't have anything planned for today and I capped off last month with a look ahead to this year! So I want to take today to chat about how this year is going to be filled with new possibilities. I think that it is important to challenge yourself with new experiences. This year I plan on not only to learn new skills, I am hoping to brush up on older ones. I am also hoping that with help from my new occupational therapist that I will be able to get back into being creative. It can be a real challenge when you have chronic conditions that evolve over time.

A few things happened last month that put things into perspective for me and I realized that just because my computer is dying, doesn't mean that I can't continue to work on the business. I want to provide some context, I have programs that I run on my laptop that help me with my business. Well, my laptop is getting older and it might fail to work one morning. I learned to backing up is important and finding resources in your community, such as the library. My local library has courses and workshops that can help me learn and maintain my skills in Photoshop and sewing! So, even though things might look bleak at times, remembering that there are other options can help relieve some of that anxiety or stress that can come from unexpected things... like your computer failing to work properly.

This was a short and sweet post for this week! Next week's topic is about this weird misconception that you must suffer for your art! Until then, thanks!
